On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Doors called 'The Doors' and is an ORIGINAL 1967 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Orange 'Textured' Elektra Label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS THE DOORS FIRST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' UK 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND HAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LABELS (& COVER!) COMPARED TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!   I WILL EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHAT MAKES THIS LP THE RAREST DOORS LP EVER MADE!!!!

WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK EARLY 1967 - UK ELEKTRA WERE STILL PRESSING THEIR OWN LPS TO ORDER FOR UK DEMAND.  AS WITH ALL EARLIER ELEKTRA LPS RELEASED BEFORE THIS ONE - THEY PRESSED THEIR OWN RECORDS IN THE UK, AND USED A 'DUAL' TYPE OF ELEKTRA COVER WITH BOTH THE U.S. ELEKTRA ADDRESS & ALSO THE U.K. ELEKTRA ADDRESS TOO (SEE PICTURE) ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER!!!!  HOWEVER THEY ONLY HAD A TINY OPERATION HERE IN THE UK (WITH LIMITED CAPACITY), AND AS SOME OF THE SALES OF THEIR LPS INCREASED, THEY WERE FAILING TO COPE WITH DEMAND.  AND SO, ONLY DAYS (LITERALLY!) AFTER THIS LP WAS RELEASED - ELEKTRA CONTRACTED POLYDOR TO TAKE OVER THE PRESSING & DISTRIBUTION OF ALL ELEKTRA LPS IN THE UK (WHICH POLYDOR DID THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE 1960s).  POLYDOR ADDED THE TEXT 'POLYDOR RECORDS LIMITED' TO THE BOTTOM OF ALL ELEKTRA LABELS, AND ALSO TO THE REVERSE OF ALL ELEKTRA COVERS!!!!  AND AS POLYDOR TOOK OVER DISTRIBUTION OF THIS LP ONLY DAYS AFTER RELEASE - 99% OF COPIES OF THIS LP HAD THE COMMON 'POLYDOR RECORDS' TEXT ON THE LABELS & COVER!!!!  BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!!  THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES!!!!  

FIRSTLY ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH LABEL - THERE IS NO POLYDOR RECORDS TEXT (LATER ONES DO!) - AND INSTEAD IT CLEARLY STATES 'MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND BY ELEKTRA (UK) LTD'!!!!  AND THEIR IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  BECAUSE THE 'ELEKTRA (UK) LTD' TEXT APPEARED ON ALL ELEKTRA LPS RELEASED BEFORE THIS LP - AND NONE LATER!!!!  SECONDLY THE COVER IS THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESS COVER WITH BOTH THE U.S. ELEKTRA ADDRESS AND THE UK ONE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE REVERSE OF THE COVER - AND NO 'POLYDOR RECORDS' TEXT!!!!  THIS COVER TEXT WAS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY - AND REPLACED WITH A 'POLYDOR RECORDS' CREDIT INSTEAD!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!!  THIS WAS THE LAST ELEKTRA UK LP EVER MADE, THAT ELEKTRA (UK) ACTUALLY PRESSED THEMSELVES (BEFORE POLYDOR TOOK OVER) - AND ONLY A FEW HUNDRED (IF THAT!) WERE EVER MADE!!!!  DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE AMAZING RARITY OF THIS LP!!!!  YOU WILL SURELY NEVER SEE ANOTHER ONE!!!!  ANY MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IS RARE - EVEN ON STANDARD ORANGE ELEKTRA LABELS (WITH POLYDOR CREDIT).  BUT FINDING THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' ORANGE ELEKTRA LABEL (WITH NO POLYDOR RECORDS CREDIT) & 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS COVER IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!  IN FACT, THERE IS NO DOUBTING THAT THIS IS THE RAREST DOORS LP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TODAY!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE (YOU WONT!)!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1967 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' ORANGE ELEKTRA LABELS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'ELEKTRA RECORDS (UK)' TEXT ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH LABEL, NO 'POLYDOR RECORDS' TEXT, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS MONO COVER (WITH NO 'POLYDOR' TEXT)!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK Elektra 1st Pressing from 1967 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is EKL 4007 on the 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Textured' Orange Elektra label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels (see pictures) are in SUPERB condition with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, only 1 MEGA light scuffline, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some absolutely ULTRA low level background sound on the run on grooves ONLY - NOT in music!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in AWESOME condition!!!!  The 'Earliest' 1st Press MONO Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in SUPERB condition with NO yellowing, NO wear, NO grubbyness, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent++ if not better!!!!  AWESOME COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
