THE CHILDREN – I CAN FEEL IT / WHERE DID I FAIL (NEW YORK RECORDING COMPANY - 0997) (G)
This is an extremely rare 45 and I Can Feel It is truly a unbelievable garage rock classic. This band was most likely from New York and rumored to have additional singles with Stones & Beatles covers. I Can Feel It is the essence of full force garage music to me. Unfortunately, this insanely rare 45 is pretty beat up. But it plays through without any skips on both sides. I normally wouldn’t consider posting a record this beat up on eBay, but I figured it’s so rare that someone will still be willing to give it a loving home. I’m providing full disclosure that this copy is not in very good condition, but still enjoyable. I’ve kept the full beginning and end portions in the recording of I Can Feel It so people can judge the playback condition for themselves. The flip side is non-memorable and I never bothered to record it myself, but I found a copy of it on Youtube and have provided a link. One side of this record has a price scrawled on the label of 5 cents! Check out the scans and audio sample.

SELLER:
Hi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups and has now switched over to Facebook. The primary focus of U-SPACES was to provide a network of Psych & Garage music aficionados to build and share compilations of non comped songs. Over the past 40 years I have amassed a large 45 & LP collection which I am now choosing to put up for auction to help fund my kid’s college educations. Generally speaking, I am only putting things up for auction that are either in excellent condition or extremely rare.
My preference is to run these auctions on EBAY because of familiarity with the process, but there is the potential that I will switch or use other platforms in parallel in the future. Check out my collection on DISCOGS under VELVETFOGG. I have only listed 45’s on that site that I plan to auction in 2021/22 and the list will grow substantially on a weekly basis as I continue to go through my collection. I hope to list 10 records per week for EBAY auctions on Sundays.
(LP’s will be auctioned starting in Summer 2021.)
