You’re bidding on Pink Floyd--The Dark Side of the Moon (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab; MFSL 1-017) Original Master Recording 12” vinyl LP, from 1979 (first batch!!). Pressed in Japan. Includes super-protective outer polyvinyl sleeve and rice-paper inner sleeve.. Not only is this a traditional MFSL “Limited Edition”, it is from the 1979 first-pressing batch of MFSL 1-017 denoted by top jacket logo in straight letters, i.e.:

Slanted was used in later (inferior; some USA-pressed) batches.
I am the original owner. Since new, this LP was cleaned and preserved with LAST record treatment and delicately played (on properly setup record-playing systems) fewer than 20x in its entire lifespan!
LP Vinyl: Mint (minus) or NM condition. Record perfectly flat (not warped); has very few minor imperfections.
LP Jacket: Excellent (NM) condition -- orig. gloss and vibrancy. No fading or ink disintegration. No warping, holes, tears, etc., but some minor blemishes on outer rear. See high-rez photos above -- and use the zoom feature to appraise for yourself.
Soundwise ….I have this album on SACD, MFSL UDCD and other various CD and LPs re-releases and only MFSL’s own and very-rare 5000-pressing UHQR compares. The Dark Side of the Moon original stereo master tape from Harvest Records was only six years old when MFSL 1-017 pressing was made in 1979. Nothing else even comes close!

I’m not overly romantic about vinyl and analog sound. LPs sound great but, unlike digital, they are finite -- and you can’t take them with you on your iPod or in your car … and days-long playlists in iTunes--forget it ;)!! My MAIN archiving strategy for vinyl is simply NOT PLAYING IT once record is ripped onto my PC hard-drive.
All my LP’s are stored in vertical position with optimum sandwich pressure (i.e., stored tightly with other 12” LP’s). LP’s are stored at 68F room temperature with low humidity. My LPs are always delicately handled, and played only on properly setup record-playing systems. (see image of my hi-fi system above).
LP vinyl cleaned and preserved with LAST Factory treatments. My LPs are impeccably clean and compressed-air-dusted prior to shipment.
BETTER-THAN-NEW?
Well, with LAST record preservative treatment , this record will not only last MUCH longer with regular play, but it sounds WAY better than non-treated records!! Want more proof: simply Google "Last record preservative" for more info and testimonials on this remarkable product.

I’ve been an eBay member since early 1999, mostly buying but occasionally selling, too. I AM NOT AN EXPERIENCED PRODUCT GRADER or APPRAISER. I consider myself an audiophile and music enthusiast first. The fact that I have accumulated a “collection” of items is entirely circumstantial. I open and play almost every item I purchase. This is different from coin and stamp collecting! IMO and YMMV … of course!
Lots of eBayers wonder: Why is he/she getting rid of this stuff? GOOD QUESTION! And, in my case, there are several personal answers: Hard drives, iPads, and iTunes playlist! Also …shifting interests and changing priorities … and I need the storage space!
All that said, I am a long-time and serious audiophile, as well as an experienced archivist/preserver/caretaker of all music and video media formats and associated hardware equipment.
For my eBay items, and to the best of my ability … full disclosure and honesty in reporting, as well as accurately-photographed products (and related info-graphics), are paramount. So, I want you to see any or all flaws first! I (the seller) personally take all photos. The photos were captured outside in natural, highly-revelatory lighting -- no tricks or touchups! The pen -- not included in the sale, of course ;) -- is meant to give item scale and display proper dimension. The photos, further, are high-resolution and allow you to zoom-in with good detail. This is a serious sale (alas, on a personally-biased, self-appraised and non-returnable item), so please examine the photos closely before bidding. Feel free to ask questions below.
