THIS VERY SELDOM SEEN RECORD WAS RELEASED ON "78rpm IN CANADA ONLY IN 1958" ON THE ORIGINAL MERCURY LABEL # 71343. SONGS BY THE BIG BOPPER ARE CHANTILLY LACE & PURPLE PEOPLE EATER MEETS WITCH DOCTOR. THIS ONESHOWS SOME SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES, BUT THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF GLOSS AND SHINE, AND IT PLAYS WITH GREAT SOUND AND VERY LITTLE BACKGROUND NOISE ALL THE WAY THROUGH. THIS ONE GRADES AS A VG TO A VG+ AT LEAST. A GREAT ADDITION TO A COLLECTION OR THAT HARD TO FIND 78 FOR THE JUKE BOX. These Collectable 78's are getting very hard to find anymore, and the good ones are quickly becoming scarce. This 78 is from the large collection of Rock & Roll and R&B 78's that I have in my personal collection, and it would pay to mark this site as one of your favorites as there will be plenty more to come.
