This is a superb uk 1st press mono white album in amazing condition,what makes this so valuable is:
- It has a very low numbered cover..0096697
- 1st press earliest discs which omit "an e.m.i recording"
- 1st press mint "kiss" poster and pictures
- Fantastic audio
The matrix numbers and stampers are
Side 1: XEX 709-1 (4-GH)
Side 2: XEX 710-1 (3-LR)
Side 3: XEX 711-1 (1-GDL)
Side 4: XEX 712-1 (2-HR)
Cover
The orignal Garrod & lofthouse laminated gatefold numbered top opening cover is in a superb Excellent+ condition..IF NOT BETTER!!,with no tears,stickers or writing.The front has a limited edition number of 0096697 and both the number and "The beatles" raised text are both unfaded and readable.The whole cover is a very nice white colour and has no bad laminate damage or bad dirt/ring wear.Inside of the cover is again very clean with no damage.The bottom edges have no wear or splits and the spine is nice with just a bit of wear but the text is readable
Altogether a TOP example of a first press top loader!!
Poster
The original Garrod & lofthouse "Lypstic kiss" poster is in an amazing Mint- condition..never been hung on a wall and has no stickers,tears or writing.The lyric side is totally white!!..email if you want a scan
Pictures
The 4 1st press thick glossy pictures are virtually mint..tiny bumping on one corner of each..very minimal
Orig black "die cut" inners
These are in Near mint/Excellent- condition,one has tiny tears on the hole and opening..neither have edge slits
Labels
The Apple labels which have the "sold in uk" text but omit "an e.m.i recording" are in Near mint condition with just small feint spindle marks around the holes
Records
The records which are both unwarped are in fantastic condition with full gloss and shine..no groove wear..just amazing and grade a very nice Excellent condition..under strong light you can see a few marks..but they have no been thrashed and i guarantee you will not be dissapointed
All 4 sides play excellent with no loud crackles..no sound distortion..no pops and they do not stick or jump..there are tiny bits of light static in some quieter parts and a few light clicks,i think a clean on a proper cleaning machine could solve this but original 60`s records had some static "built in" them
