Description
"The Beatles (a.k.a white album)"
(PMC 7067/8)
This is an original uk mono issue,but has some VERY RARE FEATURES THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!
The matrix numbers and stampers are
Side 1: XEX 709-1 (10-M?L)
Side 2: XEX 710-2 (1-MAG)
Side 3: XEX 711-1 ( -JAA)
Side 4: YEX 712-1 (7-PG)
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE..IT COULD BE A COMPLETE ONE OFF!!
3 of the labels and sides are normal but side 3 has the following differences
- A raised ridge around the center hole..approx 2mm from it
- No mother stamper!!
- Has the stamper letter "J"..parlophone only used letters that where in their name..is it a tax code?
SO ALL THE ABOVE MAKES THIS VERY RARE..PLUS IT IS A WIDE SPINE COVER!!
Cover
The orignal Garrod & lofthouse laminated gatefold numbered top opening WIDE SPINE cover is in Excellent condition with no writing ect.It is a lovely cream colour and has a limited edition number of 0245490,there are just a few small creases.The edges have no splits or wear,the wide spine suffers from some laminate damage however,but is not split
Poster
The original garrod & lofthouse "kiss" poster is in virtually MINT CONDITION with no damage at all..looks BRAND NEW!!
Pictures
The original 1st press glossy pictures are Excellent
Orig black "die cut" inners
These are in Very good/Excellent condition due to small split on one of them
Labels
The Apple labels which have the "sold in uk" text are in Near mint condition with no major damage,the rare side 3 is "kt" tax coded
Records
The records are unwarped and are in Excellent condition..full gloss and shine with just a few light marks visible under strong light,they play really well.Sides 1 and 2 play almost near mint with no sound distortion just crystal clear music..there are just little bits of static crackle in some quieter passages,mostly between tracks.Sides 3,4 also play well but have a couple of light clicks..but again no distortion
