THE BEATLES

"Yesterday & Today"

Capitol     T 2553  (mono)

1966

BUTCHER COVER

FIRST PRESSIING

This 2nd State copy of the Beatles' "Yesterday & Today" US LP (mono) is in very nice shape.  The disc is EX.  The cover has a few small issues (spilt spine, but not split through, which can be repaired).  Edge split (2 inches that can also be repaired) There is some light water staining on the back cover (see cover).  Also, someone drew a very small daisy on the back cover (see photo). I know this sounds nuts, but the flower motif was kind of common in 1966/7/8.  It was a hippie thing. Does not detract from the presentation. The inner sleeve is the original Capitol yellow / gold sleeve.   You can easily Ringo's sweater (black triangle) to the right of the trunk.   FYI, that is a  6  to the left of the RIAA logo on the back cover.  I know some of you want to know that information.

This is a chance to have a nice copy of "the butcher cover" for your collection without mortgaging your home to do so.

I bought this in 1974 at Collector's Den in San Antonio, Texas (they didn't know what they had - made my day!).  It has been stored vertically for 42 tears in a smoke free environment.
