Description
Here we have a rare copy of The Beatles' Yesterday and Today album that is a 3rd state butcher cover from 1966. This is considered to be one of the holy grails of Beatle albums and are getting tougher and tougher to find. This particular copy is a 3rd state butcher cover since the paste over trunk cover has been removed. The record is a 1st issue mono copy pressed on the black 'rainbow' Capitol labels. The record is in VG to VG- condition with surface scratches and scuffs. It plays through rather well with pops and crackles here and there. There is some writing on the label on the A-side. The cover is in poor condition with the previous owner not doing a particularly good job at removing the paste over cover. The top part of the front cover is ripped down to the bare cardboard, right where Paul and George's faces were. There is another tear down to the bare cardboard on the right hand bottom corner. There another small tear near where Paul's leg is. The spine and sides of the album are split. There is a small tear on the back cover as well as some staining and writing. Please see all the pictures to determine condition. Overall, while this may not be the best copy of the butcher cover, it still exists and is relatively intact.
