(Detailed description below)

Both discs have been cleaned on a VPI cleaning machine.
Visual grading was performed in bright light and cross-checked by my unforgiving Technics SL-110 studio turntable (SME-3009/Goldring 1022GX) with Tannoy Precision 8 monitors.

Labels

Excellent
Clean with strong, shiny colours and clear lettering. Only very faint spindle trails can be found when looking from a certain angle. The label of side 2 shows a few very small marks (see picture).


Vinyl

Visual: VG++
Both discs show clean and glossy surfaces with deep, clear grooves. On close examination superficial hairlines and light sleeve marks become visible.
There is an approx. 0.1 in. light scratch at the end of side 2. Side 3 shows a more clearly visible but superficial hairline across the radius. Both discs are perfectly flat.

Sound quality: Disc 1 VG++ // Disc 2 Excellent
This set plays great! There is remarkably little surface noise – even between tracks. The output is strong and clear across all frequencies. The common light vinyl-static/crackling and occasional light
ticks can be heard between tracks and during quieter parts, like the intros of 'Dear Prudence' or 'Martha My Dear'. The small scratch at the end of side 2 produces a couple of more noticeable ticks for
a period of approx. 35 seconds. During the first two tracks of side 2 there are a couple of mild audible distortions, which leads to a slight downgrading of disc 1. The hairline on side 3 is not audible.
Overall two stunningly well-kept discs reaching almost NM quality over long stretches. I very muched enjoyed listening to it!



Sleeve

VG++
The surface retained its gloss and colour quite well (I compared it to a Mint condition German Reissue) with only slight signs of wear towards the edges and very faint disc impressions. The top opening edge wear is naturally a little more pronounced but it's still
completely intact without any tears (the pictures actually look a bit worse than reality due to the flash producing harsh shadows). The other edges, corners and seams only show slight signs of wear.



Inner Sleeves

VG+
Both inner sleeves show signs of wear but no major damage. One sleeve has two small tears at the opening.



Pictures

EX+
Almost as good as new! Very little corner wear can be found on close inspection.




Poster

VG (front) // G (lyrics)
Tears can be found along the folds (not visible). The lyrics side shows a few stains, some are also visible at the front side on closer inspection.
Corners and edges show no major signs of wear.
