This is a rare complete UK press of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, black inner sleeves, all four photographs and the lyric poster. The records have the earliest 1/1/1/1 matrix and 'Mfd In UK' on all labels. It is pressed on the original wonderful heavy vinyl and has the earliest press poster and postcards. The sleeve is the superb low 0060002 edition number and is pressed on the rare earliest heavier cardboard. It even has the rare early 3 - T / 2 - P/ 1 - O / 1 - A mothers and stampers. However because it is a genuine complete press, it has the original and exceptionally rare white light paper spacer.
The records are in Very Good condition. The vinyl is bright with the original jet black gloss, with no heavy signs of play or whitening to the grooves at all. There are however a number of light play marks on each side. The labels are completely clean, the white is bright, the green is still vivid and the text is sharp. There is light spindle wear.
The sounds quality is Very Good. The sound is still extremely rich and vibrant. There is noise, mainly just light throughout and a couple of clicks but because this is pressed on the wonderful heavy 60s vinyl the sound still has the superb original clarity and separation and the album can still be enjoyed from start to finish.
The rare spacer is in Excellent condition. Completely clean, one light fold crease in the middle but exceptionally solid and bright.
The records are complete with their original black inner sleeves. The original black sleeves are so delicate but these are in pretty good shape. There are some edges splits and the centres and opening edge show some wear but they are still solid and completely clean.
The 1st press four photographs are in Near Mint condition. The colours are vivid and they all have their original just pressed sheen. They look absolutely fabulous.
The 1st press matt double sided poster has some edge splits but is very clean and bright.
The rare early 0060002 Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has a little discolouration, but it is still bright and the number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn, just like new. There is light corner wear. On opening the cover still has the wonderful firm laminate creak and the inside images and text are superb. There is a small faint name that can be seen when held to the light. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The edges are incredibly firm and the whole sleeve is solid. 524 (GS 6.6.4 (524))
