Another reluctant sale from my collection.........................
The Beatles' double LP "White Album" released on Apple PCS7068 on WHITE VINYL.
In 1976 EMI attempted to cash in on the craze for coloured vinyl releases and re-issued various Beatles recordings. However they failed to publicise them successfully and they did not sell in any large quantities. Hence they were missed by many collectors making them very rare and highly collectable.
As with all coloured vinyl pressings the audio quality is not as perfect as their black counterparts. However I played this album through prior to listing it and it is in exceptionally good condition. There is one point where my stylus sticks, right at the very, very end of "Sexy Sadie" which is a shame because across the rest of the tracks this is as good as it gets for coloured vinyl. There are the odd 'crackles' and a few very distant 'pops' but that is all. Most of the run-ins are virtually silent. There is no other jumping or sticking of the stylus. But then, surely the main reason for owning this pressing is the rarity value of owning a UK issue white vinyl copy of the "White Album". The white vinyl maintains it's original sheen and looks great.
The matrix numbers YEX709, YEX710, YEX711 and YEX 712 are hand etched on the run-outs of side 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
The labels are crisp and clean without any writing. There is no discernible spindle wear whatsoever.
Correct plain white inners for this issue, with the inevitable creasing to the corners.
The sleeve is in generally great condition. There is light ringwear on the front and the usual discolouration. But it still "crackles" when you open the gatefold. The spine is crisp and readable. The four photographs are in wonderful condition with no pinholes etc. The poster is still crisp and almost 'as new'.

All in all a great copy - very rare and much sought after by collectors. I play all LP's through prior to listing on ebay. Those of you who have purchased from my previous vinyl listings will know that I tend to be highly critical with my description of the condition. I am a collector and not I dealer. As one collector to another I try to be accurate and honest.

For bidders within the EU the standard (uninsured) postage will be £5.75. For succesful bidders outside of the EU the standard (uninsured) charge will be £8.50.
