Up for auction here is THE BEATLES 45 "please, please me" bw/ "from me to you" on Veejay (VJ-581) pressed in the US, 1964. What makes this one special is the PICTURE SLEEVE which very rarely shows up. I've seen 3 or 4 copies in ten years, and this is the best one, so don't miss out.

Condition: VG /VG

DISC: VG nice and glossy still, but with (the usual) numerous light marks visible in the light. The discs plays well with NO SKIPS, just surface noise at the beginning and the end of each cut. Listening to these tracks was extremely enjoyable! NO WARP. The previous owner of this disc wrote their name neatly and very small on the yellow section of the rainbow on both sides of the record. It is pretty unobtrusive. Note: The B-side is credited to "McCartney-Lennon". Just thought I'd mention it.

SLEEVE: VG The condition of this sleeve is pretty great for 40 YEARS (!). It has the same design on both sides of the sleeve, and luckily most of the flaws seem to be on one side. The good side (front) is slightly discolored, with ringwear and creasing. It looks great overall and is clear and shiny. There is a 2" split along the bottom of the sleeve, and some minor bends on the corners. The poorer side (back) has more discoloration with some minor staining, but really the only real problem here is the name written in the top right hand corner in blue ink. The letters are less than a third of an inch high, and extend for 2" (from first to last letter- SEE PHOTO).

Basically the sleeve looks 40 years old, but still nice!

Note: the names on the disc and sleeve are NOT the same, but this is how it was when I bought the record, so I decided to leave it. Anyway, I believe the record is relatively common, and it is the sleeve that matters here.
