RARE MONO PRESSED MASTERPIECE LP FOR SALE

THE BEATLES - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band  1967  (CAPITOL RECORDS   MONO  MAS-2653)  Original First Pressing.  Impossible to find MONO Pressing!!  Comes with the psychedelic FOOL DESIGNED Inner Dust Protective Sleeve and Cut Out Insert!!

I'm sure you all know this LP and the songs,  I just want to say some words about the MONO LP as far as sound:  Compared to the common STEREO Pressing, the MONO mix has a different sound and feel with variations running from MORE prominent FUZZ guitar running towards the end of the opening track to extra drumbeats on the into to the reprise.  "She Leaving Here" is mixed slightly slower, "Fixing A Hole" is slightly longer, and the vocals in "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" is drenched with even more echo.  The animal noises in the opening to "Good Morning, Good Morning" are different, as well.  If that wasn't enough to wet your appetite, George Harrison insisted that "you never heard Sgt. Pepper until you heard it in MONO!".  Why is this?  George Martin supervised all MONO mixes until THE WHITE ALBUM because radio at the time was MONO (AM) and STEREO pressings catered to the Audiophiles (but were mixed by rookie engineers without the Group and Producers involvement).  Simply, THE BEATLES never okayed the STEREO mix.  They only supervised, witnessed and help with the MONO mix.  PINK FLOYD's "PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN" was the same way (recorded at the same time at Abbey Studios with Sgt. Peppers).  SYD BARRETT helped mix the MONO mix and left the STEREO mix to the engineers and if you compare the two the STEREO doesn't even come close!  Same with this LP.  MONO was king and was always intended to be listened and experience in that realm.  And here it is!!  A must have!  This comes out of my personal collection as I have since upgraded!

CONSERVATIVE GRADE:  COVER : 6 (VG+)  Minor ring/seam wear.  A well repaired top seam (I didn't realize it was taped and I have had this copy for years).  Bent corner upper top left.  Otherwise Excellent! / RECORD : 7 (VG++)  Ultra glossy with extremely faint surface scuffs that were created when the original owner removed/placed LP in the original Inner Dust Sleeve.   I just upgraded so this comes my personal collection!

Track list: you don't need me to list these, do you?  "I bet you know them already" says little Nicola.

AMAZING KEEPER!

MY GRADING SYSTEM IS :

I work on the 10 point grading system (see below).

There will be a blue number representing shape besides the listing/Year in blue.   (Ex: 1967  7/8)

All gradings are visual and I only play records in special situations ......

10 : MINT (still sealed (LP's only) or unplayed (shown by zero spindle wear).  PERFECT CONDITION!!!)

9 : NEAR MINT/M- (opened LP or slight handling wear.  ALMOST PERFECT BUT NOT...)

8 : EX++ (Slight wear(ring/seam), slight paper scuffs that do not effect play and little to no spindle wear)

7 : VG++  (slight needle wear/slight scuffs/slight scratches/slight cover discoloration and or seam wear).  Small seam splits starting.  Some slight ticks that don't take away from the listening experience.

6 : VG+ (slight needle wear/mild scuffs/ mild scratches/ mild cover discoloration and or seam wear).

Plays with slightly noticeable ticks but still enjoyable!!)

5 : VG (Needle wear/scuffs/scratches/cover discoloration and or seam wear).

Plays with noticeable ticks but OK!!)

4 : G (OK LP.  Listed as a play copy until a clean one comes)

3 : FAIR (Seam splits/heavy writing on cover/scratched and scuffed ... BUT STILL PLAYS but sound like bacon sizzling)

2 : POOR -> Really trashed (Only listed if it is super super rare and can fill a void.  $500 record or more.  Could be cracked but plays.)

1 : Hurts to look at (Should be thrown away or given to Goodwill.  "Used for target practice"/Original owner should be ashamed!!).

These records will not be sold.  They will be used for landfill.
