The Beatles sixth official album release.
The first Beatles album, to include all four as composers, and have no cover versions.
And the last time that The Beatles would release two albums of new material in one year.
The title came from an expression that black musicians were using to describe The Rolling Stones, which Paul then parodied from the original "Plastic Soul" to "Rubber Soul".

Side 2: WHAT GOES ON / GIRL / I'M LOOKING THROUGH YOU / IN MY LIFE / WAIT / IF I NEEDED SOMEONE / RUN FOR YOUR LIFE

LABELS: The labels have a little hole wear and spindle marks but are otherwise, CLEAN, BRIGHT and UNMARKED
VINYL Visual: The vinyl still retains its original DEEP, practically AS-NEW GLOSSY SHEEN with just some (very) light hairlines and one mark on the run-in to Side Two - the hairlines have NO audio consequence but the mark on the run-in does sound (see detailed assessment below)
VINYL Audio: SUPERB - CRYSTAL CLEAR, DEEP, RICH AND WARM AUDIO. Easily equalling the reproduction on earlier pressings. On playback at a LOUD volume there are NO scratches, NO skips or jumps and barely any surface noise (really, hardly any at all). The aforementioned mark on the run-in clicks a couple of times only BEFORE "What Goes On" begins and does not sound during the track itself. The record plays to a very high standard with SUPERB AUDIO CLARITY, NO discernible groove-wear or distortion and is graded a very, very strong EXCELLENT for audio - Sounds really SENSATIONAL throughout
SLEEVE: The 1st issue FRONT LAMINATED, FLIPBACK G&L sleeve is in lovely condition with a BEAUTIFUL DEEP GLOSS to the front laminate (with some very light laminate creases only) and a remarkably CLEAN back. The spine displays all text CLEAR and BOLD and the edges are practically UNWORN (with just a couple of tiny 'nicks' on the bottom edge) - EXCELLENT. VERY NICE COPY INDEED
