This is the only original Beatles album to be released as a two-disc set, and from this album, the

Beatles' own Apple Records began to release albums as well (record pressing and sales were

continued by EMI (UK), Capitol Records (US), and Toshiba Music Industry Co. (record pressing and

sales were continued by EMI (UK), Capitol Records (US), and Toshiba Music Industry (Japan)).


The album cover, designed by British artist Richard Hamilton and Paul McCartney , is all white,

and is often referred to as the "White Album" because of the image of the cover. Initially, the album

title was A Doll's House, after Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, but when the Family debuted in July 1968

with an album titled Music in a Doll's House (English version), the current self-titled album.


The album contains 30 songs on two discs and runs over 90 minutes in total, and is a diverse collection

of songs that has been described as containing all the elements of contemporary music.


The psychedelic atmosphere of the previous albums has faded, and many of the songs have simple

arrangements that take advantage of the band sound.

  1. The jacket is slightly soiled.
  2. The serial number is marked A, which is characteristic of the Japanese version. However, red plates are still rare.

Condition

Poster-type lyric cards and manuals are slightly age-toned. Four bromide photos are clean.
The record is quite good, which is the important thing.
It appears to have been barely listened to, and there are no scuffs at all around the hole in the center of the record.....Rank is from Very Good to Excellent.
