This is the UK 4th press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. This press is complete with the original yellow and black Parlophone label, 'Parlophone Co Ltd' and 'Recording First Published' label text but no 'Sold In UK'. The laminated EJ Day flipback sleeve has the large 'mono' text. It is also complete with the original Emitex inner sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss with just a few hairlines and a couple of light marks on each side. On playing the sound is superb - warm, bold and very clear. There are moments of slight noise and a little crackle at the intro but this soon clears and its sounds wonderful. The black and yellow Parlophone label is completely clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is only light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner.
The large 'mono' laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The colours are still extremely warm and bright, the laminate has the original polished shine and the white has only the slightest discolouration. There is a little corner wear and a tape mark and a small name on the back edge. The unlaminated back is still extremely bright. The edges are firm and the whole sleeve is exceptionally solid.
