Great Debut album from the Beatles!! This is an original from 1963 and it is a very special pressing made by DECCA! Hope my photo is good enough to see the typical grooved label used by DECCA for their LPs in the 1950s and 60s. Because of the incredible high demand after Beatles records in the first year(s), EMI wasn`t able to produce enough and so a contract was made between EMI and Decca. You normally only see a few singles and the second LP With the Beatles offered on ebay, the first Lp is nearly impossible to find! Here is one of them! Condition on this one is very nice, Frontcover close to Very Good+, Backcover has the typical wear and signs of use especially on the flipback area, however very presentable cobndition. I got many Covers offered as VG++ which were nearly same condition. But i will be more conservative. Lp has only light scuffs and few very light scratches seen under very bright halogen light. I tested some songs of this Lp and it sounds still great with only light background noise! I will grade VG although i got many Lps over ebay which were graded as VG+ and there was more use on them. Very reasonable offer!!

Debütalbum der legendären Pilzköpfe aus Liverpool. Hier die seltene Original Ausgabe von 1963, mit der LP, die nicht von EMI, sondern vom Konkurrenten DECCA(!!) produziert wurde. Label hat einen eingepressten Ring auf beiden Seiten, der typisch für Decca-Platten der 50er und 60er Jahre war. EMI-Ausgaben hatten diesen Ring nicht. Wegen der gigantischen Nachfrage nach Beatles Platten war EMI kurzfristig nicht in der Lage, den Bedarf der Plattenhändler zu decken. Es wurde daher ein Vertrag mit Decca geschlossen. Platten aus den Decca-Presswerken sind sehr selten und gesuchte Sammlerstücke. Meist tauchen auf ebay die eine oder andere Single oder die zweite Lp With the Beatles auf. Die erste Lp als Decca Variante ist auch über ebay kaum zu beziehen. Tolle Gelegenheit. Cover hat Gebrauchsspuren, insb. das nicht laminierte Backcover mit den kritischen Flipbacks. Insgesamt aber sehr ordentlicher Zustand. Allerdings kommt es hier vor allem auf die LP an, da nur diese sich von der EMI-Variante unterscheidet. LP hat geringe Gebrauchsspuren, sehr leichte Kratzer und lässt sich problemlos abspielen. TOP Rarität, günstiger Preis!
