Official UK Fan Club “ SEVENTH CHRISTMAS RECORD “ ( LYNTONE ) LYN 1970/ 1971. Complete with RARE & LITTLE KNOWN ORIGINAL PROMO / INSERT.


I am pleased to offer for sale this superb example of The Beatles Seventh & Final Official UK Fan Club Christmas Flexi Disc issued in late December 1969, Together with the ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL VINTAGE “ JOHN ALDRIDGE “ ILLUSTRATED LYRICS BOOK PROMO /INSERT FLYER. As sent out by the UK Fan Club with some of the 7th Fan Club Christmas Flexi Discs.
As is now well known these Fan Club Xmas Flexi Discs were not available in record  retail outlets as they were only available  to all current Fan Club members and sent out free towards the end of December 1969, Although some were not sent out until  February 1970 due to a full box of members address labels becoming lost and having To be re printed.
As with the 1968 UK Fan Club Xmas Flexi Disc this is a double sided disc with the label Details being printed directly onto the vinyl on side one. Due to this printing process both the 1968 & 1969 printing on the vinyl is very prone to fading, Indeed on many examples the text has faded out completely leaving just a blank disc on side 1. This however is not the case with this superb example.
This the final Beatles Christmas record followed the same formula as the previous year. Rather than the boy’s gathering at the studio to record a group message or story, Each of them supplied a tape of Holiday Greetings which were then edited  by Kenny Everett ( Credited under his real name of Maurice Cole on the sleeve ). The Sleeve design is credited to Richard Starkey and Zak Starkey..

CONDITION;
DISC;  LABEL.              EXCELLENT ++
                              As can be seen from the photographs all the disc printing is in superb                               AS NEW CONDITION, with no sign of any fading whatsoever.                               It shows just a couple of light spindle trail marks to the center of side 1.
DISC; VINYL.              MINT- / EXCELLENT ++           
                              On close inspection in bright daylight I could detect NO stylus marks                               Or scratches on either side.
SLEEVE;                     EXCELLENT ++ / EXCELLENT
                              The sleeve is in lovely all round condition. |The front panel is flat and                                Firm and shows NO creasing whatsoever, the picture colours are still                                fresh and vibrant and all four corners are still nice and sharp.                                The rear panel is free from any writing or stickers with tight bi-flipbacks                                 And again shows NO creasing. It shows just a little light age toning.                              

PROMO / INSERT FLYER;           NEAR MINT

                              GUARANTEED ORIGINAL VINTAGE FROM DECEMBER 1969.                              This the very Rare & little known promo / flyer insert was for                               “ THE BEATLES ILLUSTRATED LYRICS “ Book by John Aldridge.                              Serious collectors will already know of this Promo Insert which was                              Only put in with just some of the 7th Fan Club Flexi Discs.                              Hardly ever appears for sale as so many of them were either used to                              Order the First Edition of this amazing book or simply discarded as                              of no interest to the Fan Club member.                             This Double Sided Flyer shows just one horizontal fold line                               ( Folded by the Fan Club prior to sending out with the flexi to members.)               
Overall in my opinion this is rare and excellent example of this ever harder to find 7th Fan Club Flexi particularly with the original promo / insert. An excellent investment for a Beatles Collector.
