Description

The Beatles LP - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - 1st pressing on yellow and black Parlophone label from 1967, cat. no. PMC 7027, matrix numbers XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1. It has "Made In The UK" and "The Gramophone Co Ltd" on the label.

I would grade the record as EX-/VG+. There are a number of surface marks, most of them light ones, and one more serious scratch on side 2. Side 1 plays very well with some light clicks through Fixing A Hole. The scratch on side 2 produces clicking through most of Within You Without You and the beginning of the next song, but no skips or jumps. There is also a little light clicking during Good Morning Good Morning. Otherwise the record plays very well.

I have tried to be honest and accurate in my description, but most of the clicking is not enough to be distracting or annoying.

The laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is also EX-/VG+. The edges are relatively free from scuffs, apart from the spine, which is scuffed, and only a small part of the title is still visible. There are a few small creases in the laminate, but nothing alarming, and very minor ringwear.

The insert in EX condition and the original 'psycadelic' inner sleeve is EX-, with creasing to two of the corners and a 1" split at the top of one of the edges.
