The Beatles - Introducing The Beatles Vee Jay
Cover Condition: VG (3.5-inch split to bottom seam at opening, notable ringwear, crease on front near bottom right corner, large name 'Kathy' written in blue pen on back, 'Victor Music' stamp on back, some minor stains on back) Record Condition: VG (vinyl looks slightly dull with some scuffs and marks on both sides, spindle hole has been very slightly enlarged, some groove wear on Side 2, Band 3 causes some light surface noise on my setup. Overall the album plays loud and better than the visual grade on my turntable!)
Notes: Very rare 1964 original US Vee Jay Mono 'Blank Back' pressing of Introducing The Beatles. Produced in very limited quantities after the initial 'Ad Back' slicks ran out, the blank back cover edition is very scarce and sought after. LP is the original 'Version One' on Vee Jay 'Oval' logo colorband labels, with 'Love Me Do' and 'P.S. I Love You' (before these songs were removed and replaced). Monarch stampers denoted by (MR) in deadwax. It is estimated that only approximately 1,500 blank back Mono copies were pressed! Also, only the blank back there is a 'Victor Music' stamped in red. I have only ever seen this on the back of RCA 'Living Stereo' records so I always assumed it was related to the record company, but it could also be from an old record shop.
