First pressing. August 6, 1965. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Capitol print. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label. You can see K T is embossed on side 2 on the label picture.
The original 1st labels used a Sans-Serif font and the * credit indicator for “I Need You” was placed to the right of the song title with a space between: I Need You * which you can see in the above pictures.

Matrix numbers:-
Side 1, stamped: XEX 549-2 Side 2, stamped: XEX 550-2
Condition:-
The flipback sleeve is in good condition. Some wear to the front. The word "Vic" is written on the back. G&L patents pending sleeve. Comes in it's original Emitex inner sleeve. There is a tear to one side where the record has rubbed through. The vinyl is in VGC, does have a couple of hairline scratches both sides, but doesn't cause any sound disruptions. Both labels are in VGC as well.
