The Beatles - 'The Beatles (The White Album)'. PCS 7067 / PCS 7068.
The Beatles 1968 UK 1st stereo ODEON EXPORT pressing of the 'The Beatles White Album' LP. A very, very rare issue.
Each of the green Apple labels features a large gold foil Odeon sticker indicating this was destined for export out of the UK to a country in which the Apple trademark was not registered or recognised. The front sleeve also features a gold Odeon sticker.
Released on the dark UK Apple label, all four sides of the vinyl feature the 'Sold in The UK ....' statement. Side's two and four feature an embossed ‘KT’ tax code.
ALL four labels also omit the 'An EMI Recording....' text indicating a very early pressing.
The matrix numbers on ALL four sides of the vinyl are the very earliest produced with each side ending in -1 (see below for full details).
The vinyl are housed within the original black die cut inner sleeves and come complete with large original poster but the four colour prints are missing. The cover is the original top opening sleeve which has embossed 'THE BEATLES' and the unique number of '0581213'. A very, very rare issue.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1. YEX 709-1 6 MO
Side 2. YEX 710-1 4 PD
Side 3. YEX 711-1 1 L
Side 4. YEX 712-1 1 GDP
