Description
Offering is original owner’s Capital Records, 1965 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, The Beatles, “HELP!”, SMAS-2386, “New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo”, 1st Jacksonville Pressing, 33-1/3 RPM LP, vinyl record. U.S. Release Date: August 13, 1965. (See below “Specific Identifiers” section for greater detail). Specific descriptions are as follows:
· Gatefold Album Cover – CONDITION: VERY GOOD+. Both front and back covers have retained their original orange, yellow, green, and B&W colors. The front and back cover’s perimeter areas show minimal age toning. The back cover’s B&W, mini-images of seven (7) other Beatles’ albums and the inside gatefold sections (photographs and text) are pristine. The album covers and gatefold sections have no markings or stains. The cover has no seam splits or tears, neither along the four (4) outside edges nor the spine.
· Paper Inner Sleeve (PE 12-2ES)– CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The original Capitol Records B&W / olive green inner paper sleeve has retained its clear, rich and clean lettering, as well as its B&W/olive green colors. There are no owner markings, stains, fading, yellowing or discoloration. There are no tears, seam openings or splits. The lower right-hand corner has a 4 1/2”, clean crease (photo no.14).
· Vinyl Record – CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Seldom played, the vinyl record’s playing surfaces are very clean and bright, showing no surface wear. The vinyl has retained all its rich, bright attractive gloss. There are no scratches or scruff marks. The classic black and rainbow-colored “Capital Records” logo labels are in EX condition with no spindle wear, stains, scratches or discolorations.

Jacksonville 1st Pressings have black labels with rainbow color band. There are three (3) versions of the First Pressing:
(1) No writing credits for B$ “The Bitter End”.
(2) Does contain writing credits for Ken Thorne for B4 “The Bitter End”.
(3) Does contain writing credits for Ken Thorne for B4 “The Bitter End” and with the track “You Can’t Do That” being listed immediately afterwards. (Seller Note – this is the version being offered.)

Purchased August 1965 at E. J. Korvettes, Pelham Manor, NY. Always stored upright, kept in dry, non-smoking homes. Please review the twenty-four (24) photographs to assist in your assessment of the items’ condition. The photographs are an integral part of the descriptions used for the sleeve/jacket, inner paper sleeve and the 33 1/3rd rpm vinyl record.
