THE BEACH BOYS Today! 2013 QRP Stereo Test Pressing 12" Vinyl LP APP064
Beach Boys - The Beach Boys Today! (Analogue Productions)
2013 test pressing of 200-gram reissue LP issued by Analogue Productions (catalog number APP-064).
This test pressing was made by Quality Record Productions, and has a QRP test pressing label on side one. The side one label and the front cover both have info stickers stating catalog number, artist, title, and date of manufacture.
Although the date on the info stickers states a production date of December 2013, this title wasn't actually released until 2016. Part of the reason for this delay might be explained by the notes on the cover of this LP, which were hand written by engineer Mark Linett. Linett was responsible for remixing numerous records from the Beach Boys catalog, and his notes indicate some noise and tiny ticks or clicks in the recording.
This is a unique opportunity to own a Beach Boys test pressing from the collection of Mark Linett! Although there might be very minor flaws in the sound of this test pressing, they are in the recording itself not the disc. Visually it is near-mint condition.
Condition: Disc M-, Cover VG+
