Taking Back Sunday – Where You Want To Be Why you'll love it... For Taking Back Sunday, relationships were war. Those firefights with ex-friends and ex-lovers fueled the fury of Where You Want To Be, the band’s 2004 album. Crowds didn’t sing along to Taking Back Sunday; they screamed along, pointed fingers, and projected every ounce of hormonal angst in their teenage bodies along with the words Lazzara and Mascherino scream-sang. Even after the success of Tell All Your Friends, relationships remained battlegrounds for the band, and Where You Want To Be delivered marching song after marching song.
Rock history is littered with might-have-been’s, one-album wonders, creative differences, and bands that crumbled after one member’s departure. Where You Want To Be is the sound of a band defying the doubters. It’s the sound of being young, making mistakes, and fighting on. Of forgetting differences and chasing a dream. It’s what Lazzara and Mascherino shout together throughout the chorus of “Bonus Mosh Pt. 2”: “It’s love, it’s love, it’s love… make it hurt.”

Grading System:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD+: Perfectly acceptable, plays with no skips or jumps, no feelable marks. Hairlines, and other superficial scratches may be evident on the vinyl but sound quality and fidelity still excellent, may have the odd pop and crackle only. Cover will have normal wear, seams and corners in tact, some age deterioration.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
