Description

Large package of stuff from and regarding the interesting and celebrated Suzy Solidor. There's the record "Il Etait un trois mats chansons et poemes de la mer." With Henry Jacques and Freddy Balta and his Ensemble. Excellent record. Also included are a number of photographs and an autographed picture of Solidor. Not sure where this all came from or who these people are, perhaps you recognize them? One of the photos has Solidor among 3 others at what looks to be a club. I imagine these pictures were part of a photo album or up on the wall at some cabaret in Paris. The autograph is authentic, written on the actual photo. This auction includes a letter that i can't read (it's in french) but appears to be of the same handwriting as the autograph. Wish i had more information about this for you! The record is also autographed on the back with an inscription that i also cannot read but is dated 1964. Would be happy to send a photo of the back if you're interested. Condition of the record cover is VG. Has a split on the left side seam where it was taped at some point. Vinyl is VG. Has some visible marks but plays remarkably well with some background noise that, to me, adds to the charm of the music. Let me know if you have any questions.
