Description

An original 1st press of BOOK on UK Tamla. Note how the perimeter text mentions 'Gramophone' - indicative of 1st issue. Matrix A1/B1. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with EMI white company inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - one does just sound briefly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A super player by and large even into quieter moments. The only thing I could pick out was 4-5 minor ticks in the right channel early in track 1. A couple of isolated minor ticks in 'Fall In Love'. I would say - ALL very liveable. No major problem. Overall a stellar player and more than capable of fully revealing Wonder's genius at the height of his powers.
Cover (Vg+) In decent condition and only exhibiting some handling on the rear. The interior looks great - no issues. Some edge wear. Spine 90% intact with some light wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
