Record: Sonny Rollins - with the Modern Jazz Quartet

Label/Cat#: Prestige / PRLP-7029

Pressing info: This is the 1956 first pressing with RVG etched in the dead wax. Yellow/black labels, New York address at 446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C.

GRADING (G+/VG-): Vinyl shows many surface scratches and scuffs. However none of these marks cause significant issues. This album was play graded in full. Please see video for an example of how this album plays between tracks and during the music.

  • Vinyl (play-graded): Surface noise throughout can be heard with occasional pops. The surface noise is present but does not overpower the music. Album plays with no skips at all.
  • Side A: Track one begins with soft ticks for several revolutions. Entire side plays with surface noise, some pops and crackle. Music is big and clear. Nice sound
  • Side B: Surface noise, light crackle, but otherwise a very enjoyable listen. No skips.
  • Jacket: VG+ Please see pictures for details. Reach out with any questions. This is the original frame cover. Some wear to corners, but jacket is fully intact. Really nice jacket considering it is almost 70 years old!

SHIPPING:
Record ships outside the jacket to prevent seam splits. Packed in a sturdy Mighty Mailer with padding.
