Artist: Sonny Rollins
Title: Way Out West
Label: Contemporary C3530
Mono/Stereo: Mono
Details: First pressing with deep groove, D2 matrix. Red box on back cover, first edition. Came inside a cool inner sleeve which will be included, seen in photos.
Record grading: This would be a solid VG+ but there is a pressing defect that disturbs (and rather ruins) the opening few rotations of side 1. By the second line of Sonny’s horn it’s gone. Other than this and some briefly heard ticks on track 2, the rest of the record plays VG+ or better. Visually this is VG+ with some light sleeve wear and a couple light marks, quite nicely kept.
Cover grading: VG. A nicer VG. 5” Clear tape on spine, shadow from a sticker removal on back. Other than this it’s a fine cover with minimal wear on seams.
