I am currently auctioning off some my own personal collection of LP's that I have collected over many years. I play all my records on a Vintage Toshiba deck. I will try to be as accurate as possible with my description. Having said that, if you need any more information, please contact me. Oh but don't ask me to end the auction early.
Something Else By The Kinks UK 1st Press Mono LP Excellent Condition.
Please read all the descriptions and terms carefully....
An original 1st press of Something Else by The Kinks on the UK Pye label. Matrix A1/B1 Matrix, crossed out on B. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve??? (see inner description). So, I believe all to be 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In absolutely terrific condition having seen only very light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome, certainly nothing feelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. This is a low-mileage copy clearly and audio quality is very impressive. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All I could detect was a few light crackles in the intros. And then very little else vaguely worth mentioning. A very very respectable copy that remains superbly preserved.
Cover (VG+ to Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Nice and straight front and back with only the very lightest handling wear. This cover always tends to look a little dirty/grubby, I think it's the material or the Matt silver colour, they all seem to look like this though. Edge wear is very light and almost non existent. The spine is 100% intact with all writing legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A really good copy of a very fragile cover.
Inner (VG) Generic heavy plain white inner. Not sure if it's the original, but I think it is. I believe it to be anyway (see photos to decide for yourself). There is a small ink annotation, with the LP description number. Slight split to bottom, and only slight creasing.
I only send LP's using insured postage. All LP's will be sent in a solid, card box packaging. The cost is £8.70 valid in the UK only. This is by Royal Mail Special Delivery postage and is fully insured.
If for any reason and in the unlikely event you are not happy with the LP, you may return it for a full refund. I do realise everyone has their own interpretation of the condition, although I have tried to be as honest as possible. Remember I'm using a vintage Toshiba deck, so it will sound different to high end modern players. If I'm mistaken in my listing then just send it back, no questions asked. Unless it's something I've made a genuine mistake with (I'm not perfect), you'll have to pay for the return insured postage yourself.
