Description
A great example of a classic LP by The Kinks. It's on the UK Pye label and it's entitled 'Something Else By The Kinks'. The catalogue number is NPL 18193. It's a mono recording and is rarer than the stereo version. The record is an original and was released in 1967. .
OUTER SLEEVE : The flipback sleeve which is predominantly metallic silver in colour shows some general creasing and wear. However, is in overall fine condition. The edges show some definite wear and there is some minor feathering at the open side of the sleeve. The spine is in fine condition and the wording along the spine is 99% readable but there is some very minor scuffing at the top and bottom of the spine. The flipbacks are in great condition with virtually no damage. the rear of the sleeve is slightly creased but is otherwise in fine condition. It states at the bottom of the rear sleeve 'Sleeve Design And Art Direction Pye Records Studios. Photography Mike Leale Clareville Studios C Pye Records Limited 1967. INNER BAG :The inner bag is a plain white die cut paper type with no plastic lining..
RECORD : The record does show some definite superficial surface marks but it plays very well with some minor surface noise evident especially between tracks. There are very occasional pops and clicks but these do not detract from the overall quality of the recording. There are no jumps on either side.
LABELS : The labels which are the original first pressing pink and black types are in fine condition with some spindle marks on both sides. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - NMPL 18193A - 1*M (stampers I) - side two - NMPL 18193B-1*M (stamper G) - (please note that there is an additional matrix number on the run-off groove on side two which is MPL 18193B-1**M - this has been crossed out). I've graded the record as Ex- and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell.
