Description
This is the first Sisters of Mercy release, the rare and highly sought-after "The Damage Done", which was limited to 1000 pressings.
I bought this from the ex-owner of an independent record store in Maidstone who claimed he had owned it since new. The look on his face when I left with it suggested he was telling the truth.
The picture on the sleeve, the cut-out on the reverse, the labels and the inscriptions in the run-out-grooves all reinforce the fact that this is one of the genuine pressings.
I have owned it for 4 years, during which time it has been stored in my collection.
As you can see from the pictures, the sleeve is in amazing condition for it's age, with very little storage wear. The vinyl itself shows light surface marks which don't appear to affect the reproduction and retains a glossy black appearance.
I would not be selling this if I had a choice, I'm not sure I'll be able to replace it with one in similar condition.
At the time of listing, a similar original is listed on discogs for over 1000 US dollars
