Description
Flyright LP523, “Indianapolis Jump” with Shirley Griffith, J.T. Adams, Yank Rachell, James Easley, Pete Franklin, Scrapper Blackwell, Bertha Lee Jones, and Raymond Holloway. Vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. UK-style jacket is about VG++ with strong seams and square corners; there is one corner bump at lower left; there are no writing and no stamps, and the jacket is very clean. Songs are “Maggie Campbell”, “Saturday Blues”, “Indianapolis Stomp”, “Big Road Blues”, “Kill It Kid”, “I Don’t Feel Welcome”, “Hop Joint”, “Kentucky Guitar Blues” (J.T. Adams & Shirley Griffith); “Mandolin Stomp” (Yank Rachell with Shirley Griffith); “Lowdown Dirty Ways”, “The Fives”, “Penal Farm Blues” (Pete Franklin); “Spanish Blues” (Jones); Little Girl Blues” and “Cherry” (Blackwell); “Big Leg Woman” (Easley). These field recordings were done by Art Rosenbaum, who recorded single sessions of several of these artists for the Bluesville label about the same time; they were only released in the 1970s. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $13.00 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
