ultrarare first pressing 8LP vinyl record boxset released in the sixties for German clubmembers only. Taken from the famous UK Columbia tapes the set is released with gold DEUTSCHER SCHALLPLATTENCLUB / COLUMBIA labels, and pressed on heavy 'Made in Germany' high quality vinyl!!  Audiophiles and collectors alike will know that this set features superb audiophile soundquality and stunning dynamics same as the blue/silver UK Columbia release... Catalognumber is 29212-8. The linen-style boxset with Klemperer's photo on the front comes complete with a 14-page booklet about Beethoven's work. The box and the vinyl LPs are in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition with clean labels and little or no spindlemarks - just perfect!!  Fantastic performances by Klemperer recorded with supreme soundquality!! The ninth symphony features Aase Nordmo Lovberg, soprano - Christa Ludwig, Alt - Waldemar Kmentt, Tenor - Hans Hotter, bass...  A very rare find - don't miss... see photo.
