This does not appear to be a radio broadcast but recorded direct to LP for sale. 
They were also recorded much earlier than previously thought. The date on the records 
is 1970 & 1971. The Anvil tapes were produced in 1979. 
 
These stories were recorded by Gerry Kitchenham (R G Jones of Morden Ltd) and 
produced & published by DISCOURSES, High Street, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. 
(I can find no information of DISCOURSES at present)

"Emancipated from the bonds of fact" in Dr Johnson's phase, Holmes and Watson live in milieu which has been emancipated too: the jingle of hansom cab substituted for the roar of massed automobiles, the stench of carbon monoxide replaced by the sweet scent of horse, the modern pressure relaxed into a tranquil routine of leisured breakfast, half a dozen newspapers, a pot of coffee. "Ring for our boots", a stroll in Regent's Park, then back to lunch and any letters from the fifth and sixth delivery of the day, to find an anxious client with a bizarre tale that will take us by cab or train on some trilling trail.

NM = Near Mint Condition - The record is virtually perfect, but there are very slight signs of marks, which are so light that they will have no effect on the quality of playback. It is almost As New.

EX = Excellent Condition - The record has slight marks, and has perhaps been played a few times. There should however be no reduction in the quality of playback.

VG = Very Good Condition - The record has some marks and has obviously been played a few times times. The record is still clean but the marks will perhaps effect the playback but only a little.

G = Good Condition - The record has some surface marks and has obviously been played many times. The record is still clean but the marks may perhaps effect the playback but only slightly.

F = Fair Condition - The record has some scratches and has obviously been played many times. The record is still fairly clean but the scratches will effect the playback.

Sleeve

NM = Near Mint Condition - The cover is virtually perfect with only very tiny marks, scuffing,creasing, but no handwriting, splits or tears. It is almost As New.

EX = Excellent Condition - The cover has some slight marks, scuffs and creasing, but no handwriting and no splits or tears. It is complete and is still in collectible condition.
