Description
An original UK 1st press of Stargazer on B&C Records. Matrix A1U/B2U. Stampers 1A/1M - placing it amongst the first few thousand copies ever produced. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by E J Day Group. Also included is the original bespoke inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio some across with perfect clarity. And you really need a clean copy when it comes to folk/acoustic titles like this - otherwise you're going to be left sorely disappointed. A fantastic rendition by any standard and delivers some sublime audio. Interference is very minor indeed. All we detected were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. I doubt there can be many copies out there that will match this level of preservation. The only very slight and brief deviation was a couple of light ticks momentarily in 'Odyssey'. We're only mentioning it to be as upfront and exacting as we can possibly be. In reality, they're very minor and over before you even notice them.
Cover (Vg+) Has been looked after carefully down the years. Front and back are only exhibiting light wear - none of that heavy stuff you often see with this title. Please note - there's a HMV sticker in the top-right corner on the front and a cataloguing number 'E36' attached top-left on the rear. Edge wear is reasonably light. There's wear on the spine so don't expect to read all the text clearly. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits, markings, or ageing.
