                                  A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO BUY

                      AN ORIGINAL 1977

 " S PUNK " LP  BY THE SEX PISTOLS ( BLANK  BLA169)

Spunk is a demo album by the English punk rock band The Sex Pistols. It was originally released in the United Kingdom during September or October of 1977.

The album comprises studio demos recorded with the late Dave Goodman during 1976 and early 1977, while original bass player Glen Matlock was still a member of the band. Most of the songs were later re-recorded and officially released on the group's album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. Many maintain that this recording was a better quality record - the demos appearing on Spunk are presented in excellent quality. The  record was  pressed in the UK by Lyntone, a legitimate independent pressing plant. Malcolm McLaren, the then manager of the band has been quoted as saying that he preferred it to Never Mind the Bollocks. Spunk captures a faithful reproduction of the original Sex Pistols line-up's live sound and features the bass playing of Glen Matlock.

The album became the subject of Tony Parson's NME article, "Blank Nuggets in the UK". Spunk has also been the subject of several official releases.

Virgin Records released the whole of Spunk along with several other early Sex Pistols demos as part of a limited edition double-CD reissue of Never Mind the Bollocks in 1996.

          Side one

    1. "Seventeen" ("Lazy Sod")
    2. "Satellite"
    3.  "Feelings" ("No Feelings")
    4. "Just Me" ("I Wanna Be Me")
    5. "Submission"
    6. "Nookie" (" Anarchy In The U.K.")

         Side Two

    1.  "No Future" ("God Save The Queen")
    2. "Problems"
    3. "Lots of Fun" (" Pretty Vacant")
    4. "Liar"
    5. "Who Was It" ("EMI")
    6. "New York (Looking for a Kiss)" ("New York")

Condition - Excellent. Only played a few times. Slight surface scratch on tracks one and two of side one which as far as I am aware does not cause the record to jump or affect the sound quality.

The LP comes in the original white inner sleeve and white cardboard outer sleeve which is slightly  age - faded.
