Description
A quite incredible single sourced collection of vintage 30 years old upwards modern Jazz and desirable classical pressings, all in unplayed and mainly factory sealed condition, in fact mainly double sealed, with the factory seal overbagged in a larger sealed poly outer. This whole collection has been in cool dry upright ideal storage for all its life until a few weeks ago, when I got first offer on them. An opportunity to bid on such a high quality never opened collection is a rare chance. Bid now to ensure more are offered. I could quite happily keep plenty of these!.
Audiophile Sealed NEW Old Stock Tony Williams Spring (a Quintet date with Herbie Hancock, Sam Rivers, Wayne Shorter and Gary Peacock) Blue Note JAPAN Large sticker under the 2nd seal (Never issued with Obi sashes, just this sticker with info about Swing Journal award winning status etc). This is from the limited Toshiba EMI Aurex "Blue Note 4000 Series Original Collection 100" Part 2,edition, from 29 years ago, May 22nd, 1985 to be precise. Not clipped, no breaches of the seal to this and it will have an insert. I have a number of these in my personal collection, and with high quality modern cartridges these are the business. Thick vinyl in lovely masterings. Another Tony Williams Blue Note sealed pristine NOS also listed.
The excellent microgroove japan site notes: "Part 2 has 9 titles in all. Initial pressings came with coated jacket cover.
Since it was a “LP to CD” transition period (and Toshiba EMI began releasing numerous Blue Note titles in CD format), these “4000 Series Original Collection” did not seem to sell well. This is why these LPs are very hard to find nowadays"
