On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Syd Barrett called "The Madcap Laughs" and is a VERY rare 1969 UK 1st pressing on the 1st Press Harvest label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AMAZINGLY THIS LP HAS 1/G 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODES - SHOWING THAT IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, AND ONE OF THE FIRST 300 COPIES EVER PRESSED!!!!  IT WOULD HAVE BEEN PRESSED IN LATE 1969 - WELL BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE!!!!  IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP - WITH 1/G 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODINGS!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS HARVEST LABEL, NO 'EMI BOX' ON THE LABEL, 'THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' LABEL EDGE TEXT, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD LAMINATED 'E.J.DAY' COVER - WITH THE 'EARLIEST' 6911 DATE CODE (NOVEMBER 1969)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS AN 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1969 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is SHVL 765 on the 1st Press Harvest Label (see picture) and is a UK 1st Stereo pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in GREAT condition (see pictures) with only a small area of 'touched in' wear on one label, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall - and though it may not be Mint, it is VERY important to note that this LP has the UTMOST rarity as it is the EARLIEST POSSIBLE 1st Pressing EVER made!!!!  You can of course listen to this LP on any later pressing - but there can only be a very VERY few people EVER, who can claim to own the EARLIEST 1st Pressing EVER MADE with 1/G 1/G mother & stamper codings!!!!  The record has 1 hairline type line (NON sounding), only a VERY few light hairlines, only a few light scufflines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  It is also worth noting that the majority of the above can ONLY be seen under bright light - and the record is still VERY shiny & glossy looking, and has a VERY presentable visual appearance indeed!!!! The record plays with only a few light clicks/pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle - though there is some slight background sound on this record - though it is mostly confined to the gaps, run on grooves, and is mostly lost WELL behind the music!!!! There is NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must STRICTLY grade Good if not better - though in most peoples opinion the visual appearance is MUCH better than this!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press Gatefold Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), SUPERB shiny laminate, only a few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO rubbing, and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS AN 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESSING WITH 1/G 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODES - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
