On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Syd Barrett called "The Madcap Laughs" and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Harvest label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS SYD BARRETT'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER (STRAIGHT AFTER LEAVING PINK FLOYD!), AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS RELEASED, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  INCREDIBLY, NOT ONLY DOES THIS LP HAVE THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 2G/2G MATRIX ENDINGS (THERE WERE NONE EARLIER THAN THIS!) - BUT AMAZINGLY IT HAS THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1/G 1/G MOTHER & STAMPER CODINGS ASWELL!!!!  AND THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THIS LP WAS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND ONE OF THE FIRST 300 COPIES EVER PRESSED, ON THE VERY FIRST DAY OF PRESSING - WAY BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET - AND IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME (IF EVER!) No is SHVL 765 on the ORIGINAL Harvest label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has only 1 TINY hairline type mark, only 2 or 3 light hairlines, only 3 or 4 MEGA light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, only a few VERY light clicks (though mostly NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Patents Applied For' inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Gatefold Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), possible 'tipping in' to the corner tips, only a few VERY light creases, shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, only 1 TINY 'age trace', and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  THIS IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS AMAZING LP - EVER MADE!!!!  IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (1G/1G!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
