Up for sale is one(1) STYX - The Grand Illusion LP from 1977 on A&M Records (#SP-4637). This is a frist pressing and is Still in the original SHRINK with the original Hype Sticker and the original FULL COLOR POSTER. There is No Barcode. This LP features the big hit Come Sail Away.
The vinyl is in very good+ condition, but has some surface marks that may cause some surface noise.
Nice fairly clean labels with some minor spindle marks. I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME.
The cover is still in the original shrinkwrap with the original HYPE STICKER and is in very good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to dings, corner dings, scrapes, white fade spots, crumples, and ring wear. There are no split seams. There is a small tear in the shrink wrap approximately .5 inch long in the upper right front corner stemming from the top opening.
The original price sticker has since peeled away leaving 2 small residue spots in the upper right front corner. The rest of it may come off with some elbow grease, but I am leaving it as-is.
The custom inner lyric sleeve is in Very Good condition with a few crumples and a small split seam at the bottom and the beginnings of one on the side.
The Poster is in very good condition, but has some crumples throughout and has some tape residue on the back side from being hung back in the day. There is a small tear along the fold line at the top and bottom which is the result of being folded fro many years. The poster is twice folded to fit into a 12" sleeve/jacket.
I obtained this LP in the late 1970's. It was gently played back in the day. I haven't played this LP in over 30 years. it has been in storage ever since.
