Tracks – Apples And Oranges/Paintbox

 

Extremely rare and sought after New Zealand single released by Pink Floyd in 1967. Combining the last Syd Barrett “A-side” single, the left of centre, ‘Apples and Oranges’, coupled with the early Rick Wright whimsical soft psych masterpiece ‘Paintbox’, this sold practically nothing in New Zealand on release and wasn’t even released here in Australia. A poor chart showing in the UK after the successful “Emily” single soon led to the departure of the bands’ talented, but-now-untogether leader, Syd. Fortunately the band recruited friend David Gilmour, and, as we know, successfully endured!

 

Cover = Generic NZ blue Columbia paper sleeve in good condition.

Record = M- (Almost perfect except a few small marks). 

Columbia labels in excellent condition.

 

Overall, plays excellent and a great listen!
