 THE COVER: 

Truly Beautiful Los Angeles #6 Mono Butcher Cover

We have had a marvelous run this last month on Beatles butchers that have turned out having fabulous looking slicks after having been peeled.  The streak continues with this incredible cover.  Please take the time to read all about this one - it truely has a stupendous quality peel that looks first-state in appearance!    

The colors on this butcher are vibrant, sweet, and bold.   As with virtually all of our butchers, the pictures below allow you to see the incredible fine dot matrix texture of the original butcher slick that has been exposed.  You can see that finite detail of that dot matrix printing!  Often times excessive glue residue from amatuer peels makes this detail hard to see and also dulls the color of the butcher giving  a yellowish cast to the overall color.  Look at the finite detail of that dot matrix printing!  Just look at the false teeth on John and Paul's jackets!  What incredible detail - you can see the gums and teeth perfectly. Check out the meat!  It looks real!  You won't always see that kind of clear detail on other butchers.  These dot matrix lithos have a unique hue to them that makes a butcher cover look even more magical in person.  AND -  THERE ARE NO TOUCH UPS OR FLAWS ON THE BUTCHER COVER IMAGE!  The detail is stunning.  Even the classic LA glue circles are INVISIBLE on this cover!  

The edges on the border surrounding the butcher image are a nice clean white.  The seams themselves are the average part of this butcher.  The bottom right seam has been repaired for about 5 inches in from the mouth.  There are a few spots of balding around the top seam and the lower left corner.  There is age wear to the spine print, but no other splits or cracks.  I have mentioned these flaws, but don't get the impression these things are a major detraction because they are not!  This is one super nice butcher that is priced right to sell!     

The printing on the back is all there, bold and black, and contrasts very nicely with the white of the surrounding cover. The printing and graphics are all clean.  There is a light stain in the upper right quadrant of the back.

Remember folks, it is the peel on this one!  I have considered keeping this one myself to frame and place in my office.  When it comes to the beauty of a butcher slick this butcher is one of the best of the best!  Just a gorgeous classic cover to show off in your office, den, or music gallery!

This offering also includes a peeled Yesterday and Today slick that can be framed with your butcher.  The slick is very thin and has some small tears around the edges, but will frame nicely and look great. 

 Please be aware that every butcher is like a diamond - rarely are two ever remotely alike in all the investment features they offer.   RARELY have we ever had a perfect butcher.  Each cover has its strengths and weaknesses.  I strive to keep the latter at a minimum.  I can tell you butchers of this quality are hard to come by!  This is an outstanding offering.

The peel on this butcher was done by the master himself - Jim Hansen at Blue Jay Way Galleries - who is recognized as world's leading butcher artist.  Jim is our exclusive butcher artist, and all of our butchers are done in beautiful detail by him!  You will not find a better peeled butcher anywhere!  He has been peeling butchers since 1971, and has made butcher restoration a true form of art!
