About This Record. This is an original second pressing blue label USA copy of Little Walter's first LP entitled "The Best of Little Walter" released on Chess Records Chess LP 1428 back along with Dale Hawkins and Muddy Waters and other awesome blues stuff. This is not the super rare first pressing on the black label which nobody has, but the second pressing from the early 1960's. It looks maybe nice EX but upon close inspection, there is a feelable scratch over most of one side and other minor scratches over the other. There are no skips, no sticks, no jumps, and the fidelity is very very nice as the vinyl is shiny. But, lots of clicks and pops but still nice enough to listen to. But not a keeper copy, although I do not know anybody that has a keeper copy. Still worth owning but VG- in Wright's book.

Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) cover. There are no seam splits and no spine split, but there is writing on the back cover and general light wear. Some small splits about to happen near opening edge on the seams. Still this is a survivor, I would grade this EX but for the writing on the back cover.

Vinyl Condition: Very Good Minus (VG)- vinyl. Please see detailed description above.
Labels. Excellent Plus (EX+) labels (light spindle marks; no writing or damage!). Please see photos of all labels.
Inserts: Comes with original white (now very brown) paper inner sleeve, but no worries, this comes cleaned in a new rice-paper type sleeve after cleaning (see below).
Packaging. I place the vinyl in a new sleeve after cleaning it on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
