Issued on LKJ label. Blue vinyl.
As far as I remember.. this was issued around the same time as a UK television documentary on reggae on that included Michael Smith's impassioned a capella reading of his poem Mi Cyaan Believe It, on Jamaican ghetto poverty.
So the disc was in demand.
I try to give a slightly low grade to the discs I sell, so the buyer receives better quality than they expected.
Format: 12" vinyl single
Date: 1980
Catalogue number: LKJ 001
Condition (disc): Very good+ (blue vinyl)
Condition (sleeve): Good - solid and usable but wear and tear on one side - see photos.
I use high quality rigid cardboard mailers.
I use the Record Collector definitions of quality:
MINT. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
EXCELLENT. The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD. The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD. The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
