After the excesses of the first album, sheer economics forced the band to try a cheaper route.
With newly recruited cellist Claire Deniz, they hopped across to Copenhagen (where they recorded with Sandy Denny) to record a much more acoustic folk-based album than the first.
Even then, a sign of things to come, the album included a lengthy epic inspired by Arthurian legend - "The Vision Of The Lady Of The Lake" - which featured a contribution on keyboards from young sessions player Rick Wakeman.
Side 1: The Weary Song / Dragonfly / I Turned My Face Into The Wind / Josephine, For Better Or For Worse / Another Day
Side 2: 'Till The Sun Comes Shining Through / Young Again / The Vision Of The Lady Of The Lake / Close Your Eyes
LABELS: MINT-
An immaculate pair of labels - one light spindle trace on one side, none on the other
VINYL Visual: MINT-
Both vinyl surfaces are unmarked and shine like new (natural harmless wispy hairlines visible under bright light)
VINYL Audio: MINT-
My play-check at a loud volume found little to fault - plays like-new - one or two impossibly minor light ticks (of new vinyl) which will no doubt disappear after a few spines - a really exceptional copy, the finest I have heard - beautifully clean and they really don't come much better than this
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
Fine example - a little rub to the edges and spine and a few light spots and record impression but nothing major
INSERT: EXCELLENT+
Apart from a soft crease on the top corner and some age-related discolouration to the white on the extremities the lyric inert is in lovely condition
