Description
- A stereo, vinyl 7-inch single, "Starman" by David Bowie
- Issued on red vinyl.
- Limited edition (5000 copies), comes in a tin presentation box, together with a 128 page book - 'The Photography of Mick Rock
- Originally released in 1972 as the lead single from the album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars".
- It was backed then, as it is here, by 'Suffragette City'.
- Released to accompany the 128 page photo book of Mick Rock's photographs of Bowie (ISBN
- The tracks on the single were recorded at Trident Studios, London
- Co-produced by Bowie himself and Ken Scott
- The book contains a collection of black & white and full colour photos of David Bowie taken by Mick Rock over the years (it is part of a series that also features Syd Barrett, Iggy Pop and Glam!)
- The book has a three page introduction from Mick Rock (together with a colour photograph of the photographer.
- Art direction by Adrian Cross.
- The single has a black sleeve, with a track listing and production details on one side and a b&w photo of Bowie on the other
