Breaks o'plenty on this groovy mover of an album! Lot's of funky organ and electric piano all played in a psyched out soul type style; bass player plays deep and strong and the fuzz guitars round out the highs. The lyrics (sung in a Sly Stone meets northern soul type style, although most are sung by beautiful female voices) veer into 60's acid damaged born-again subject matter, which is totally understandable seeing as how this lp was released on a christian private press label by the name of Fourmost...supposedly only 100 of these were pressed (in 1969?) and much fewer are known to still exist. An amazingly rare and sought after release, quickly becoming a holy grail among collectors. This copy has a decent handful of surface scratches/scuffs, although nothing all too noteably deep or distracting. The scuffs/surface scratches do add a bit of background noise to the playback, but most is mainly due to the quality of the privately pressed budget vinyl and not really distracting during play. Overall the music plays through very strong and loud. Amazingly the background noise magically disappears consistantly through the most killer tracks, only to remain most noticeable during the quietest bits and segments between tracks. Basically this is an amazingly rare release that is highly sought after by collectors, most often fetching well over $100 dollars for a vg/vg- copy. I am setting a low $25 reserve for this copy in good/g+ condition; lp plays through strong with some background noise and no skips. Labels on both side 1 and 2 in nm/nm+ condition. Cover is near mint/nm+ with no seam splits or bends with no ringwear on front cover and a minimal amount of ringwear on back cover. Thank you for looking and I do hope you decide to bid on this rare lp!
