 *** ATTENTION!***

Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

      SOCRATES DRANK THE CONIUM

                                         ...Greece - Miles Records

Long long gone, the first 2nd-pressing in limited edition of the very first SOCRATES (Drank The Conium) album...a 1970 RAW VIOLENT & EXPLOSIVE power guitar trio from GREECE that retains great melodics and song writing in English...the scores of collectors in the know will quickly cash out several hundreds of dollars for the first press for this impressive album, solid all the way through....If you're into CREAM and the like, don't miss....

The first "Socrates" album, when they were known as "Socrates Drank The Conium" is a killer effort by the Greek blues-rock act recorded in 1972 at a very difficult time for the country (dictatorship), when the genre they played (hard blues psych) wasn't especially appreciated in Greece. This self-titled album features the amazing talents of its creators. Yannis Spathas is a cult guitar god who nowadays is talked about in music schools abroad due to his unique guitar playing style. Antonis Tourkogiorgis is still famous in his country for his vocals and his standout bass playing. The drummer Elias Boukouvalas is also a very capable musician. The band (especially Spathas) has been unfairly ignored throughout its history by bigger markets. Socrates Drank The Conium contains the band's influences by Jimi Hendrix and Cream and other similar acts of the era, and is characterized by straight forward blues-rock/psych music similar to the previous references. There are many crowd-pleasers here such as the original versions of "Starvation" and "Underground" and all the songs are strong and will not leave the fan of this style disappointed. This cult-album is a respectable effort on 'wish lists' around the globe...
