Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy (with A-1U/B-1U matrix #s) of the debut LP by British group the Slits, released in 1979. The group came together three years before, and were a prominent presence in the original London punk scene with their uncompromising feminist politics and D.I.Y. aesthetic. They recorded a couple of sessions for the BBC's John Peel in 1977 and 1978, but this LP and the single "Typical Girls" (which appears here) were their first official releases. Their sound had evolved by this point into dub-inflected new wave. The laminated jacket is close to pristine with light creasing in a couple of corners and light curving along the edge (M-). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise (EX+). The disc has custom labels with a silhouette image of the group (see pictures). The record comes with a die-cut custom inner sleeve (M-).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
